Widus Donates Top of the line Bicycles to Mabalacat Police
Widus International Leisure Incorporated, proprietor of Widus Hotel and Casino, donates a top of the line cross-country mountain bike to the Mabalacat Police Department on June 8, 2015.
Widus security manager, Jason Tolentino, together with Widus marketing officer, Sheryl Mamangun, personally delivered the requested bicycle to the Mabalacat Municipal Hall where it was graciously accepted by Mayor Boking Morales and Superintendent Nicolas Torre III.
Torre expressed gratitude for the generosity Widus has shown alongside its continuous support to the police community.
“This donation is a great help as we strive to keep our five-minute or less police response time commitment,” Torres said.
He also added that the benefits of having a police officer on a bicycle cannot be denied in both visibility and mobility.
The P30, 000 worth bicycle was specifically chosen to serve as patrol unit –aiding the Mabalacat policemen in maintaining the town’s laudable low crime rate.
“We at Widus appreciate the hardwork of our policemen. As a locator, we are not merely a business entity but also a member of the community who actively takes part in making the community better,” Tolentino said.
